Yale Interview tomorrow... help?

I have my Yale interview tomorrow! its my last college interview. I interviewed with georgetown and duke. My georgetown interviewer was more serious than casual and asked me legit questions. My duke interview was so chill and she talked a lot.

Yale is sorta a school I applied for the heck of it but they asked me for an interview so ofcourse I accepted the offer.

Im majoring in Economics and they are probably gonna ask Why Yale?
I dont really wanna say that i wanna go there because its prestigious or what not. What are things that I can incorporate in my answer for that question?? Im not a Yale expert :)

[Welcome to Yale College, Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.yale.edu/admit/)

Start researching. It’s not like any of us can think of a brilliant answer to why Yale’s for you.
Good luck on your interview! If it makes you feel better/less nervous, my Yale interviewer never asked why Yale (my Harvard interviewer didn’t ask either). So have an answer prepared but the question might not even come up.

Schools like Yale don’t make decisions based on applicants’ answers to “Why Yale.” They make decisions based on applicants’ answers to "Why this applicant should be at Yale.

Even though I’m a Harvard alum, I know this about Harvard’s beloved rival school (and yes, many Harvard alum really do love Yale. It’s a fun competition, not a blood sport.)

You tell them why you’d want to go to Yale. If you don’t have a reason, then you should ask yourself.

You applied to Duke, etc. for reasons - like the weather, the basketball. Maybe you applied to Yale because it is prestigious, so you need to translate that in your head to what that means, like quality, like whatever.

Good call. You definitely don’t want to say that!
As Anagenesis suggested, starting researching; one of the worst things you can tell an alum interviewer is that you want to go to their school for its prestige factor. Don’t worry, it’s fun to research about Yale, it’s a great school :]

Good luck, have fun!

Thanks!!
Yeah my guy was REALLY weird and not casual at all. I walked in at the first thing he said was “this is gonna be very hard interview” like what the heck right.
