u also posted on the harvard board.....

What's next? Princeton is your safety? You might as well take off all of your stats, and just leave the first one. You're not the only black person applying, so I won't be so sure if I were you.

I recommend that you to spell the "Douglas" in Lincoln-Douglas correctly. ; )

Yep, it's Stephen Douglas, not Frederick Douglass.

decent chances

Though I hope you're not THAT guy.

Well, I'm glad you're not EA. We've got enough competition already.

^^^geez kinda harsh but the truth haha

I don't understand why people are so hostile, the title of the thread was obviously meant in jest and bc usually if people see an audacious title they are more likey to respond.

To superdrive what does race have to do with it? If I were Asian and posted a thread asking my chances would you say it. I am not confident I am hoping and aspiring just like everyone else.

I think some people were reacting to this thread as a follow-up to the thread in the Harvard Forum. Good luck on your applications; I'm aware you're just kidding around about any of those colleges being safety colleges.

I think on Gilmore Girls one of the characters considered Yale and Princeton her backups in case she didn't get into Harvard....

She wound up getting into all three.

God I hate television sometimes.

Vicky_sky and Dbate my comment was actually flattering cos it shows you're GOOOOD!!!

I'd say you're one of the closer people to being able to claim Yale is my safety - IF your being honest in what youre saying about research and etc, and not gimmicky. Unless your from a school with grade inflation, or have non-great teacher recs and essays, which given the research you've done and general stuff you've done, shouldn't be the case, then I would just thank AA and stop asking for chances threads when you would have to be stupid not to know everything everyone above has told you.

Well, stats are honestly a tad low, but

HOW THE HECK DO YOU PEOPLE SPEND 50 HRS/WK ON EC'S?!?!?!

Honestly, good chances. I'll be honest, AA may be your friend.

Though you should get a move on those SAT II's...not many more chances to take them and I believe Yale requires two or three.

The ECs do not overlap, football would be first semester then Band second, research during the summer. It is spread out over an entire year. Yale does not require SAT 2 for people who submit the ACT ( i have read it on their site) so the ACT is all they see. My rank is a bit low, but hopefully my ECs can overcome that.
