<p>Hi everyone, I'm new to college confidential and I'm in my senior year of high school. I will be applying to Yale this fall. I'm Hispanic, come from a low income background, and will be applying for full financial aid. My dilemma is that although the prior is true, so is the fact that my grandfather attended Yale. If I added this information, would it take away from my minority status?</p>
<p>If you are low income, apply through questbridge (60k or under). not sure why legacy would cancel out minority. you have three factors working for you - legacy, minority and low income.</p>
