I sure hope you are joking that a video is what you based your decision on. :o

I dunno, the videos demonstrate and reinforce cultural stereotypes of the two institutions. Moreover, considering how good they both are, any decision is basically arbitrary.

Looshin:

You might want to search Gibby’s posts to compare Y amd H. While no individual undergraduate can say they have experience at these two schools, she is a parent with kids at each and her comments have additional validity.

gibby is actually a dad. I think “he” mentioned it in one of his posts.

I got a likely letter on march 3 :)

@tlsgur1
mindblown that gibby was actually a dad… I presumed the poster was a mom from the ID!

Do universities like Yale ever send out “pre-likely” letters to juniors? Like letters that mean something but obviously don’t mean the person will be admitted, since the person hasn’t applied?

Amplified: the answer is NO – with the sole exception to men’s lacrosse recruits – who, due to their schedule, are recruited much earlier than other sports.

All that fluff literature you’re/you’ll be getting from Yale and other lofty schools is just marketing. It means ZERO about your eventual chances.
