If you are looking for advice on undergrad music programs, you should check out the CC Music Majors sub-forum: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/

There are no performance undergrad degrees offered at Yale. The undergrad offerings are academic in nature, and are BA’s, not BM’s. The same is true for all the Ivy schools. The application process for BA music disciplines is effectively the same for academic acceptance at Yale.
