Only to Canadian universities so far, haha. They are the University of Waterloo and McMaster University for their business programs, and Western University for Economics.
Thanks so much for your advice! The advice really helped. My philosophy teacher actually showed the video you mentioned - Amy Cuddy’s TEDTalk - in class too! For anyone else on the forum wondering what @rahuilmars231 and I are talking about, the TED Talk is called “Your body language shapes who you are” by Amy Cuddy It’s a great TED Talk, and I’ve been finding myself doing power poses throughout the day for some motivation and a boost in confidence xD
@rahuilmars231 , I hope we all get in as well! Less than two weeks away! Did you get into any universities yet? Also - since you’re 19, are you taking a gap year?
@bettyxyp88 haha you’re welcome >:D<
I’ve taken a gap year for other reasons. And I’ve just gotten into my safety school Tulane with a 100,000 Dollar Merit Scholarship
It’s not too exciting since it’s just a safety but it is a little relieving because I started to wonder if I had the capacity to get into atleast a single school. My mother being the potpourri of tradition, distress and enthusiasm that she is, cried and started telling everyone that her son has accomplished so much. I was like, Mom it’s a safety for god’s sake stop it! :))
All the best guys! Logging out of CC and I suggest you guys do the same. I presume you’re aware that It just exacerbates your anxiety and bolsters your insecurities (I’m talking to you guys who have started to get even more anxious after logging in to college confidential) rest of you ultra confident souls who have noticed an improved sense of well being, I truly envy you.
There isn’t much we can do at this point. So just take a chill pill and relax, and ya know do ya thang
All the best for your results and I hope you all get into great schools :)>-
I was deferred without interview for Round 1, but received an interview invitation immediately after application deadline for Round 2 so don’t give up just yet!
@oawnstar
They just sent this email: Thank you for applying to Yale-NUS College, the first liberal arts college in Singapore. The Yale-NUS admissions committee is finishing its evaluation of applications and will release decisions on Monday 21 March. As a Yale-NUS College applicant, you will receive an e-mail on 21 March alerting you that your admission decision is available online through your personal application portal.
@syangfu Haha yes, did you not receive an email from them telling you that your application was incomplete?
I’m so confused! I did not apply to Yale NUS but I got an email today indicating that the decision is coming out next Monday…? I’ve only applied to Yale college (New Heaven) and I can access my portal to Yale college. What’s going on? What is even Yale NUS?
