@BarryA ah, I see! but didn’t most students last year find out they got accepted by logging into the Yale-NUS admission portal and seeing that they were accepted? Or was it both of these?
On the Yale-NUS website, they’ve already started to update 2018 orientation info for Class of 2022… Very exciting.
28-29 July: Move-In for Class of 2022 and start of Orientation (all students must be moved in by 4:00PM on 29 July)
30 July: Matriculation Day
9 August: National Day
10 August: First Year Assembly and end of Orientation
13 August: First day of classes

@Changi17 it says it’s for 2018 at the top but the pdf booklet is definitely for 2017, so I think they’re still figuring some details out or maybe they haven’t updated the whole page yet. it was nice to see their orientation schedule for last year, it seemed to have been really fun! all of this is just making me more anxious hahaha
but either way thanks for adding that info here! it’s definitely helpful to see!
Oh it’s completely nerve wracking. I’m anxious for all of us!
@achilleees I think only a small number of accepted students received TNT last year. All the best for everyone and I hope it’s good news for all of us!!
@momentousmeerkat I just found out that EYW will be held from April 13-15 (confirmed source from inside YNC). So I also think the admissions results will be out by next week. I’m getting more nervous by the minute!
Hey y’all! Current student at Yale-NUS here (and sghkg8’s source lol). Good luck with all of your applications and I look forward to welcoming you to the kingfisher family.
@sghml9 is dis my watergate?
@sghml9 Do you know when exactly the decisions are coming?
@primenumber unfortunately admissions doesn’t disclose decision dates with students! While the assumptions about next week make sense, to be honest, you never know. My advice is to stick with the original date so at least you can be (hopefully) pleasantly surprised!
I wasn’t invited for an interview yet. This means I’m rejected?
@akrem111 not necessarily, it might mean that you’ve been waitlisted for now!
also, I recently got an email asking for my A Level results (I’m a sg citizen) and it’s a got me a little worried that they’re still asking for information when it’s so close to the release of admission results…
@achilleees Wow how recent is “recently”? Is it because you’ve recently completed A-levels and did not submit actual result when you applied? Sounds like things are really in your favour!
Is anyone else asked to submit any academic/non-academic information other than FA documents like @achilleees?
@BarryA Yeap, we did only get our A level results in Singapore on the 23rd February so I didn’t get to submit it when I first applied. I got the email asking for my results this morning actually! I’m mainly worried because one of my seniors who applied in round 1 last year said YNC never asked for her results at all, so I’m concerned that this might mean they’re not sure if they want to admit me
After my D’s interview she sent YNC an email saying that her test scores had been sent and that she had also submitted the optional essay through the portal. They followed up with her school advisor to get the scores even though they had been self reported in her resume and would arrive shortly through the official test agency (takes up to 2 weeks to get official scores). Not sure what all that means except that they needed her official scores to complete her application. They already knew her scores but like US schools only the official scores count. This all happened the beginning of February. Fingers crossed for everyone! Definitely going to be a long stressful week of waiting.
@Scrambled88 I see! Thanks for sharing that, and yeap - seems like it’s going to be an intense week for all of us haha! Sending good vibes to everyone!
Current student here. This is an amazing school. Being asked for documents close to the release of decisions is a good sign, at least in my experience. They asked me about documents but did not ask my friend (who was missing the same docs) and eventually only I got in. I think it’s because they’re interested in you and really want to see your full profile.
Also last year they released the decisions on March 24th, a few days before the Ivies, which I believe it’s a trend.
Good luck and see you soon!
