congratulations to everyone who got in!
to those who were waitlisted, don’t lose hope, but keep your options open
to those who were denied, I know how you feel, but just know that if you applied to Yale-NUS with a lot of passion you are someone special - they just weren’t able to admit many people. Keep your head up and all the best for the future
Made it! But since I’ll be serving my national service obligations, I will only be part of the Class of 2024 see you guys around!
I got in and I didn’t write the supplement, but I demonstrated a lot of interest in the interview. I’m really excited.
Who’s going for EYW!!
@catdreamer I want to but since accommodations aren’t made for parents, I’m sure if I can justify it or not. Would love to otherwise
We’ll see! are students allowed to travel alone for EYW?
The overwhelming majority of students come to EYW without parents.
@sumguy if I’m not wrong, yes. But if you’re below 18 you’ll need parents consent
@achilleees AHHH I am also going for LS!!!
@catdreamer that’s wonderful! feel free to PM me if you have any questions/for my Facebook! I was quite confused about a lot of LS stuff when I first came in so yeah if you are too then just hit me up!
I need a clarity. Would appreciate if someone can help.
Is being wait-listed in round 1as same as deferral ?
Will the results for waitlisted be released along with round 2 or subsequent to that.? Round 2 results are out towards April end but we have been given a date by June end.
Hi! Just came spent the last few hours reading all the previous threads including this one, is it safe to say that the later you submit your application the earlier your interview will be??
I realised people in both round 1 and round 2 who applied close to the last date of applications, receiving their interview email like 2 days after…
I applied in the first week of round 2, and I still haven’t receive any interview email and i’m may be a little scared now cause round 2 only get 1 month of interviews but round 1 gets at least 2months ish…
@madhutgm I’m in the same situation as you (didn’t choose the right course) and my grades are like worst, but my cca and working experience are like everywhere, not sure if it will help. Apparently last year only 11 poly kids got in. I’m super worried for myself lel
For those of you that made it, congratulations! Did a follow-up email detailing the same result come to you shortly afterward, besides the notification in the portal?
ACCEPTED!!!

hello hello CC community. i am a local applicant and I applied in round 2, on 13 feb? about a week before application closed. I see some people already getting emails inviting them for interview. at this point in time, should I be worried that I have yet to receive an email?
Anyone from Round 2 got their interviews notice yet? Have the same concern as @waterandsun ? Also are the interview notices in calls or emails?
email!! at least i dont know of them calling. i know of someone who already receive the email… but i am still waiting for it :-,( however it has only been one (long) week since application for ync closed! they say they will contact us 2-4 weeks after applicatjons closed.
also, were you under the ib track or a levels? what are your stats!
@songq123 hi!!! what course and poly are you from! My senior was one of the 11 poly kids who got in. We are from architecture at SP. There is no quota for poly kids at Yale-NUS like the other unis, it is purely based on your own individual merits. I understand how you feel, but if you truly showed your passion and vigour for the school and your ambitions in your application, I think you will be able to make it to an interview! all the best.
also, i havent gotten any calls for an interview. I have a feeling they’re unable to process my application yet, because my school officials are still settling my transcripts and all that. it’s a mess and im rly worried
@waterandsun I’m none of them haha I’m under poly diploma!! GPA is crazy horrible, but got tons of ECA (don’t really have any leadership positions or awards) and part-time jobs experience (to sustain my external ECAs and to develop and find out where my interest really lies at), with community hours here and there (not much, only a little)
@madhutgm ahhh I’m from a design course as well haha at NP! I have everything in already. Really very worried bc I sorta have been discouraged applying for universities bc of my grades :’) but I know YNC is where I want to be at hahaha first choice since Y1 of poly studies
