Just wondering, did anyone else here receive this scholarship from Yale-NUS? I received one but don’t exactly know what they were looking for. Anyone else?
Hey, did they let you know on the acceptance letter or did you get a separate email? I applied for financial aid, and the Yale-NUS portal says to wait for an email about financial aid/scholarship after the acceptance letter - I haven’t received any news about scholarships so I’m assuming I didn’t get one?
I received my scholarship award a few hours after my decision. Don’t know about the timing but don’t give up hope! If they haven’t given you the financial aid letter, it could well mean they are still deciding if you are eligible for merit aid.
Alright then I guess I’ll have to wait Thanks! And congratulations!
hey @paintfresh22 ! congrats on your scholarship ! I was wondering :
- did you apply for financial aid ? (or did you just receive this merit scholarship out of the blue ? )
- did you receive your award by e-mail or by snail mail ?
and last but not least, are you from Singapore ?
Thanks! I applied for financial aid. The merit scholarship came by e-mail, and yes, I’m from Singapore.
Hey, would you mind sharing your grades and ECs? And perhaps how your essays and interview went?
Took this list off a similar Yale-NUS thread. Here you go.

@paintfresh22 Hey I just got the Global Leadership scholarship too for Round 3! (after being deferred from Round 2 so this is a huge surprise!)
@bsb4389 Congrats! Weird, right? Same happened to me…never expected it.
@paintfresh22 Yep!
I am planning to apply to Yale-NUS next year. Can you guys help me get clarity about the application by sharing your grades and ECs and essays ? I am an international student and it would be highly beneficial to know what they look for ! @bsb4389 @Diotha
Are internationals eligible for this? They say they are, but I have never heard of an international receive this scholarship.
Yes, all are eligible. There is no preference. By the way, @bsb4389 is an international.
