Yale On-Campus Interview Dress

I have an upcoming interview on the Yale Campus and am having trouble figuring out the appropriate dress code. Because it's an on campus interview I haven't been directly contacted by anyone saying the location. Likewise, I haven't been able to find any guidelines on the Yale website or this forum with answers.

So, haha, anyone done one of these or have an answer?
THANKS. (:

The admissions office says it does not matter what you wear.

Black tie. Don’t forget a cummerbund.

This discussion went on for other schools over the summer if you want to search.

D had Yale interview in July and wore a navy modest sundress with a 3/4 sleeve cardigan. Coming out of interviews before her were: boy in slacks & tie, boy in khakis and polo, girl in skirt and blouse, and girl in a romper & tevas (oh, yes)! Student interviewers had on pretty much the same except replace romper with a polo-type dress. All interviewers were very cordial and seemingly engaged as they chatted with their interviewee in the Admissions lobby (very small area) after emerging from the actual interview. It all seemed very friendly and low-key. My D loved her interview. Hope this helps.

Mirror glasses and a Mohawk: that way, you’ll know you’re being accepted for truly substantive reasons.

If you dress in “business casual,” you won’t need to worry. For boys, a collared shirt (can be a polo), and khaki pants. For girls, the equivalent.

I have an on-campus interview coming up soon, and will be wearing a suit-skirted with a sweater, or something to that effect.
I think you’ll be fine.

On campus interviews are usually if not always held upstairs of the admissions office!
