<p>I just met w/ my college counselor today to finalize my list, and basically i have 5 or 6 reaches... so he told me to decide between yale and brown because they are both super reaches. I want to study int'l relations, which im sure both schools would be great at. </p>
<p>here is pro-cons list, and any advice you could give me would be great!</p>
<p>brown:
pro: the watson institure for international studies... i don't know how good that is, but it sounds interesting. also, the admit rate for brown is like 7% higher, which means i would have a slightly better chance of getting in... and i am having an outside rec from a brown alumni... im not sure how much that helps.</p>
<p>yale:
pro: i just love it... i know that's not a great reason but when i visited i just... yeah really liked it.</p>
<p>con: 6 people from my school are applying ea... and im not, which means they will probably let in most of the people they want early... so that decreases my chance.</p>
<p>and of course the biggest con to both of these is that they are really selective. but... if you were me, which one would you choose?</p>
