Reluctantly. “Skull and Bones narrowly endorsed admitting women,” says Robbins. “The day before these women were supposed to be initiated, a group of Bonesmen, including William F. Buckley, obtained a court order to block the initiation claiming that letting women into the tomb would lead to date rape. Again more legal wrangling; finally it came down to another vote and women were admitted and initiated.”

According to Levin’s bio, where did he attend college again? Yale obviously needs a Stanford undergrad alum to bring it into the 21st century:

"So, where does that leave Yale? Are we also in the game of “catching up” to and competing with Stanford?
What “boom” has Yale ever caused?

By copying Stanford: “Levin added, “In today’s world, the reputation of great universities depends increasingly on their excellence across a wide range of fields. I have seen that to be the best among universities, Yale would need to be among the best in the sciences. So that’s the essential goal of Science Hill [West Campus]—to make our science programs competitive with the very best in the world.” When asked if those “very best” included Stanford, Levin replied, without hesitating, “Of course, yes.””

I hope we can keep bickering and tit-for-tat replies to a minimum–I don’t think that helps the OP or other readers in making the kinds of fine distinctions necessary to make a choice between two superb schools like Stanford and Yale. Not trying to stifle any dialogue, of course, just sayin’.

zenkoan, completely agree. I made a few counterpoints; I could counter again to the BS, but it DOES stifle dialogue.
