Yale Poli Sci

Yale Political Science decisions are all over yuster and grad cafe. They are all rejections, but say that they were notified via email to check the web. I checked my web, and all it says is that my application was submitted. Am I checking the wrong place?
Perhaps it takes time to email 400 people...
A

Applied to Yale Poli Sci too (but the theory subfield, so I doubt we're competing too much with each other, haha). I haven't received a decision there either, but was admitted to another school (Duke) using the same admissions system and what happened was: I got an email saying to check the website, because my decision letter was now available. So it looks like they post the decision letter to the same page that shows your submitted application. When they've made a decision, they'll post it there and send us emails, I bet. Until then, all it's going to show is the submitted application.

Maybe they weed out those who obviously don't make the cut based on SAT/GPA type info first, and then deal with those who actually have a shot?

Let's hope so...

good luck to you all w/ yale...though i will say, it looks like many of the folks who got rejected had some pretty impressive stats, at least according to applycorner. of course, stats aren't everything.

Theramenes,

Congratulations!

amalee,

I wouldn't worry...sometimes these things just don't go smoothly (unfortunately.)

Theramenes, did you ever hear?

No, not about Yale yet.
