Nothing here yet from Yale, either, in spam or inbox.
Nope, I didnât get the emailâŠnot yet, at least and itâs not in my spam
@luv2sk8â the letter is the one automatically generated upon submitting your application. Itâs mentioned at the bottom. @kaytureâ probably overthinking.
@luv2sk8 @vozvratsaa @HeliMom74â
"Admissions decision will be available online via http://admissions.yale.edu on the dates listed below:
Early Action: December 16, 2014 (in the evening)
Regular Decision: March 31, 2015 (in the evening)"
You definitely received the email, as MomTwo2 said, it was in the email you got upon submitting your application (the one that contained instructions to set up your Eli account)
@fizzy110 - regarding diversity at Yale - I am an AA female graduate, Class of 1982. My D is currently a freshman. Yale is a very diverse school - it is actually one of the most liberal of the Ivies - sometimes even being called the âgay Ivyâ. Does that mean it is nirvana and everything is peachy keen? No. As evidenced by the recent incident of a Yale Police Officer pulling a gun on a AA male student leaving the library and the resulting discussion of race on campus. But, for the most part, if you are a minority, gay or not filthy rich, you will find many people like you around and many organizations to affiliate with if you choose to whatever extent you choose to. Will you find bigots, racists and intolerable persons on campus? Of course - because Yale mirrors society and is not in a bubble. But, having been there myself and entrusting my daughter to them, I feel deeply that it is an accepting environment on the whole. Hope this helps.
@Tperry1982 Iâm really glad that the Yale atmosphere is so accepting! Iâm one of the few non-white kids at my school, but I come from a relatively liberal community in Oregon (and I recently moved to SoCal)âso Iâve never really experienced prejudice or microaggressions. If I somehow got into Yale (emphasis on âsomehowâ), I would feel fortunate to be part of such a nice community.
Thanks for your reply @Tperry1982 Like sjspring, if I were to be granted the privilege to attend (:p), I know I would be going to a great place. You wrote about being able to find âpeople like youâ but I was also wondering about the amount of integration that occurs between these groups - I know the residential college system helps with this, but what about outside the dorms?
Hello everyone. I didnât apply to Yale but my girlfriend did and JUST today received an email for an interview. We both know that the deadline for interviews is long gone, so is this a case of an interviewer unaware of the deadlines or a positive sign? Any feedback is much appreciated!
Princeton just posted their RD release date to be on March 27th. I guess other Ivies would release on the same date.

Three more weeks, canât wait.
@2562ivyâ I think thatâs the site from last year this one still says the 31st like all the others http://admission.princeton.edu/applyingforadmission/application-dates-deadlines
If you go to the admissions page via Princetonâs homepage (without using any link) it says the 27th. @Jlc1234.
Hopefully itâs the 27th!
maybe itâs later bc of all the snow closings
Not sure about how old is my link but if you Google Princeton RD release date 2015, it will take you to the page which shows March27th. And someone said they posted March 31st all week but just changed to 27th today.
Here is a link to a list compiled in 2014 for the Class of 2018 RD notification dates. The same site compiled a list for ED/EA notices for Class of 2019 and I assume it will soon publish a list for RD C of 2019. Just in case it helps. I imagine when it will matter most is sometime after March 25thâŠ. THEN we can all get excited. For nowâŠ. http://blog.â â â â â â â â â â â /blog-0/bid/157782/Class-of-2018-Regular-Decision-Notification-Dates
Hey,
I have a bit of a problem and I donât know how to further proceed. I got an e-mail at the beginning of last week about a Yale interview (international) and I readily replied within an hour. Next I heard from my interviewer was this week on Monday and we scheduled the interview for that day but unfortunately she couldnât make it. We postponed it for the next day but when the time came she did not answer my skype call or message. I later e-mailed her about the issue and suggested we reschedule since maybe the skype connection was bad, but I have yet to hear back from her. I really want to have the interview but I am also aware that time is running short and the reports should be sent in ASAP. I donât want to come across as annoying for sending too many e-mail but I also donât want to miss the chance and have the university think I was not interested in having the interview. What could I do next? Any advice would be appreciated.
@BlairSt06 My advice is just an idea, and not based on any inside knowledge. If I were in your position, I would draft a short note to your admissions counselor asking for advice, explaining that you were contacted, the steps taken, and the disconnects. Then ask that they advise how to best proceed given your extreme interest in Yale. If your school counselor is able, I would first ask that they contact Yale, but only if they are able to do so immediately.
@MomTwo2â thank you for your reply. I think I am going to contact admissions, maybe they will put me into contact with another available interviewer. I am, however, a bit disappointed by her lack of professionalism.
@BlairSt06 This is just my thoughts on the notes. Think through the note. The voice you use. The way you write. Explain you understand how extremely busy they are at this time, and that you are contacting them to help either reestablish communication with or to connect you with an alternate interviewer simply because you and the current interviewer are having great difficulty connecting at the appointment times that had been arranged. Almost, but not quite, apologetically for contacting them at such a busy time. As soon as you send that note to Yale, simultaneously send a kind note to the interviewer thanking them for their time and explaining â like you are a dear helper â that you have just contacted Yale Admissions to see if they could help you both in any way. That way the interviewer is not caught off guard, nor âblamed.â Be sure to remain positive, not complaining at all. Good luck. In the alternative, know that many students annually are admitted to Yale without an interview.
Just to explain how the system works, the admissions office at Yale has almost nothing to do with interviewer assignments. A local interview coordinator, who is a volunteer, does that. The most Yale can do for you is pass your email on to the local interview coordinator and s/he can either reassign you or contact the interviewer and see whatâs going on. In any event, since interview reports were due February 15, this may all be moot. As MomTwo2 says, donât worry if you donât get an interview. It is not a make or break situation and not having an interview wonât reflect badly on you.
