I just got an email from the Yale admissions rep for my region, and the "To" field said "Indiana Recruits Summer 2005"!!!! Does that mean I'm being recruited, or am I just getting my hopes up?

I'm making something out of nothing, aren't I?

Hard to tell. Yale sent me a general publicity postcard, and I got an email later, but that might have been because I requested information. Harvard called me a few days ago to say "You should consider applying to us! Based on your recent accomplishments, you have a good chance of getting in!" Yeah, right. Like they can tell from a collegeboard score list.

But if you're the sort of person Yale is sending specific emails to, whether you're being 'recruited' or not, you've probably got a really good shot at it. Good luck.

Yale is big brother. They have researched you and know they want you, In fact their research is so specific you're their dream student. They will beg you to come and although they don't give merit scholarships they are going to make an exception for you.

If I'm wrong and you're not THE one they are focused on this year, you are one of thousands that have above a 1350 SAT score that Collegeboard has on the list they sell to colleges.
