FINAL NOTES:

I am a Canadian citizen. For those upper-tier schools, I heard that Canadians are grouped together with domestic applicants. I hope this is true. I plan on getting my Green Card sometime next Spring, after the admissions cycle. (I suck, I know)

Please chance me for Yale SCEA, UPenn ED, Princeton, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth, and UChicago. I'll chance you back :D

I think you probably have a good shot. Your scores are great, ECs good too. I have no idea about the Canada thing though (hope ur right).

Wow… you have a great shot at all of those schools. They’re all reaches, but I think you should definitely apply for ED

You have the ECs, grades, and SAT scores

I think you’d have a strong shot at Penn ED. Your ECs don’t look strong for HYP but you certainly have a shot. Dartmouth has gotten similarly tough, so reach but doable. Good shot at Chicago and Vandy.

Your scores are amazing and your GPA is awesome as well. I think that I’m gonna have to go with the cliche’ “All Ivies are pretty much unpredictable.” But I expect you’ll get into Chicago and Vanderbilt no prob.

Oh and chance me please. My thread is “What Chance Do I Have”

Sent from my SPH-M900 using Tapatalk

Thanks very much guys. Very encouraging so far, and I appreciate the honest opinions.

Holy crap your scores are amazing

you have a shot at every college ever

You can’t apply to both UPenn ED and Yale SCEA.

Yeah, I’m aware of that. I am undecided at the moment which one I will ultimately choose.

By the way, Silverturtle seems to be a legendary name on the Yale boards. Any advice?

Welcome to CC!
Annnnnd…wow. Those are some incredible scores and academics. You have much to pat yourself on the back for. It’s more than impressive, even for CC. I do say that your ECs are not up to par with other parts of your profile, but you are certainly a competitive applicant at all schools. I can’t honestly tell you if you’re in or not though; I’ve seen applicants both better and worse than you get accepted and rejected seemingly at random.

That being said, Silverturtle is a legendary name pretty much everywhere. I do hope to see him at Yale one day…

Though my chances of getting in are somewhere around, say, negative infinity to 3.14%.

Haha thanks very much. I’m aware that my EC’s are weak but I have some things that I didn’t mention, and my essays are quite good. You’re very encouraging as well, and I hope that you end up somewhere where you’ll be happy. Best of luck in the admissions cycle.

I hope I did not come across as demeaning. Your ECs are great by any measure, but it’s just that the Ivy’s standards are, well, high. I’m sure that you’ll get into at least a few top-tier schools, and to be frank, you’ll probably have quite the conundrum when the acceptances flow in.

You have very good chances at all the schools you are applying to - you have amazing test scores and very solid ECs. Good luck!

Your scores are obviously top notch, but your ECs are a bit weak for an Ivy League applicant

Yale SCEA-Reach
UPenn ED-I’d say match
Princeton-Reach
Harvard -Reach
Vanderbilt-Safety
Dartmouth-Match/Low reach
University of Chicago-I’d say match

Great scores and excellent GPA. Can’t really comment on your EC’s, though they seem fine to me.

Decent shot at the Yale (mid-reach unless you have a hook).

I think if you apply early to Penn your chances are excellent. However, if you apply regular decision to Penn your chances go down. Basically, you can play it safe and apply to Penn early decision or roll the dice and apply early to Yale (knowing that you just made it more difficult for yourself at Penn).

Ahh thanks very much. I’m feeling even better now. Is UPenn ED really that much easier to get into than UPenn RD?

I only ask because I’ve heard that ED has lots of athletes and legacies that skew the statistics.

Yale, Princeton, Harvard, are reaches.
Chicago and Penn are matches.
Rest are in.

Chance me!

I totally agree with LouieC.
Your scores are amazing! You definitely have a shot everywhere.
Never doubt yourself!! Attitude is very important!
