Chances for: Yale SCEA, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, UChicago, Binghamton, Penn State, Boston University, and NYU

no one likes me.lol

get the 33 then let's talk.

Your EC's and academic accomplishments show a lot, and it sounds like your SAT's were a fluke. I seem to remember that Chicago has its own "SAT forgiveness" policy, where if they like a student a lot, and the SAT doesn't match the rest of the academic profile, they will forget about it. Your SAT scores don't align with the rest of your app. I'd sooner discount your SAT scores than I would discount your profile.

I think at this point it's up to your teacher recs and your essays to give more insight into who you are as a person. Even without your URM status, I think you have a good shot at the schools you're applying to.

Even with your scores as they are now, I'd say:

Yale, Penn-- Reach

Chicago-- Low reach

CMU, BU, NYU-- match (I'd be surprised if you didn't get into all of them, though)

Bing, PSU-- safety.

Do not underestimate Bing. It's a great school and it's ubercheap.

Any idea for what you want to study?

I would like to study microbiology, biomedical enginerring, or neuroscience....im leaning towards micro and biomedical engineering... I'm still deciding if I want to go to med school or not. I do one thing.. I plan to continue my musical studies and my passions for both debating and swimming...btw if I do get a 33...do i have a shot at Yale
