Yale SCEA Chances

hi, I'm currently finishing up my junior year in high school and planning on applying ED to Yale this fall. I was wondering if anyone could look at my stats and tell me whether or not I have a chance at getting in. I know everyone's chances are pretty slim, but if you could just tell me if I'm on the right track, that'd be great.

oh also, I’m a Caucasian male.

0% for ED at Yale as it doesn’t exist.
Assuming you meant SCEA I wouldn’t say much higher, high reach.

yep that’s what I meant. any advice though?

I’d say this is a pretty average, if not below average profile of a yale applicant. Your GPA is okay and so is your SAT. Though, don’t get discouraged because most universities in America would perceive you as someone who has been very successful throughout their time in high school. However, this is Yale we’re talking about and the kids who have been accepted to this highly prestigious school have some phenomenal stats and accomplishments.

Thanks for the response. I know Yale is an extreme reach even for the best students, so I know I have close to no chance and much of it will come down to pure luck. Oh and I forgot to mention i’ll have taken 8 ap’s by the end of senior year. Sophomore: AP US Junior: AP euro, AP lit, AP gov Senior: AP psychology, AP chem, AP German, and Brit Lit ECE

Closing discussion since the OP has a comprehensive WAMC post in that forum.
