Please let me know how I stand for SCEA! I really love Yale it is my top choice along with Harvard. If you want a backstory on how I know so many languages/how my love for languages has flourished and grown, I'll attach the link to the forum below.

Thanks!

No matter your stats it’s completely unpredictable, and you’ll fare much better if you understand that now. That said, I find it crazy that you even need to ask for reassurance. You’re definitely in the running with all of your stats, and I personally find it insane that one person can do all of that!

you stand out in the crowd (i’m still in awe in your multi-language prowess), and i’m sure you’ll end up at some amazing school. your chances at yale are pretty much as good as they get for a non-hooked applicant.

The only weakness in your profile is the insecurity and insensitivity that lead you to ask a question like this. Of course, you are an excellent candidate for Yale or for anywhere else. That doesn’t mean you will be accepted SCEA (or RD) at Yale, but the chances are overwhelming that if you apply to a few top colleges you will be accepted at more than one of them, and have great choices and opportunities. But you knew that already.

Most students aren’t in a position to say that. I think it’s hard for kids not to feel anxious and depressed when they see posts by other kids who are Practically Perfect in Every Way begging for reassurance that they have a chance of getting into their dream schools. A good skill to learn would be quiet confidence and a light touch. You are a very lucky, very talented young woman. Why risk squandering those gifts by making other people resent you?

oh…
i’m really sorry! i didnt want to make anyone resent me!
but thanks anyway guys…

um wrong forum, post this in the What Are My Chances thread and you’ll get a lot more responses :)

A little harsh, JHS, but I guess it needed to be said. Well done.
