I am an okay writer, so my essays should be good.

That said, with my upward trend, do I have a chance at:

(Also, I know that HYPS are luck after a certain point, but, I am mainly asking is it: A. Worth my money to apply to them, B: Worth applying to Yale SCEA instead of, say, JHU.)

Thanks a lot!

Yale SCEA
Princeton
Johns Hopkins (ED?)
MIT
Caltech
NorthWestern
Dartmouth (ED?)
Stanford (EA?)
And.. My state school. (Safety, no need to chance)

Thanks! Leave a link, Ill chance back.

Wow, you must go to a very tough school to have your rank with so many Bs. I would not use the SCEA on Yale, it’s highly unlikely. P, S, M, C are also extreme long shots. ED at JHU sounds like your best bet.

Good luck even getting into a state school with those C’s in Spanish.
Buena suerte lech

Looks great, but I count 4 B’s junior year, not two like you say in the intro.

Sorry, I was tired and went by total number as if a B was a B both semesters, sorry.
As for competitive school, yes, very, and their are quite a few teachers who pride themselves on only giving one or two A’s a year, I was lucky enough to get A’s from them occasionally.

As per Spanish, I have had a great number of difficulties with my Spanish teacher, which later resulted in some administrative action against her when it was discovered she had no grade book, but, my grades did not change.

I went into the counselor today and I am 9th our of 350, if that changes anything.

That’s a pretty good rank and good ACT. I would think you would have some chance at the Ivy’s, especially Dartmouth from your list. I don’t see how it can hurt to apply. I don’t know about the early action though.

As for your Spanish teacher, she sounds like a real clownpuncher.
