Looking At: Yale SCEA OR MIT EA??????

I think with the research you have done along with your participation in AMC/AIME that MIT EA would possibly be better for you, assuming that you intend to continue in the sciences during undergrad. Either way, you have a great shot at both schools. Good luck!

I think you might like MIT more, since it puts more emphasis on math and science. That being said, and don’t quote me on this, you might have a better chance at Yale. There would likely be more people with similar ECs applying to MIT, which would make them more unique at Yale. Thats just my two cents.

Welles10 and bycle!
Thanks alot you guys. Your opinion seems more reasonable.

Great shot at both schools! Both of these schools tend to defer a lot of their applicants in the early rounds, so I would say apply early to your top choice.
Good luck :)

I agree with bicycle in that you may be looked upon as more unique at Yale. Apply to where you would be most happy, where you fit better – ultimately if you go to a school where you don’t get along that well with the rest of your classmates or the type/quality of classes you are taking, you won’t be a happy college student.

welles10,

Thanks for your educated advise. This really helps me.

bump bump please
