I'm starting my apps this year and wanted to clarify some questions I had regarding SCEA restrictions.

I want to apply to two other schools, aside from Yale, early. One is my in-state safety, which seems to be okay per Yale's website (Early Action FAQ | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions). I also was looking at UNC - Chapel Hill. My major concern is that applying early, which is necessary for most of their merit scholarships, may be against SCEA rules, since I'd get my decision back early.

Does anyone know how Yale treats such circumstances/whether they'd permit me to apply to UNC anyways?

Since you are doing it to apply for scholarships and the notification is after January 1st, you should be ok. See yales response #3

You may apply to a college with an early deadline for scholarship awards, but only if the notification of admission occurs after January 1.

Hey, quick question - I’m applying to Stanford RD, but Yale SCEA. There’s a caveat, though; I’m also submitting an arts supplement to Stanford, which means all materials need to be sent in by December 1st. Is that okay? Notification is still April 1st (or around there) for arts supplement people.
