Yale: should I send it in?

Applied EA to Yale...and as luck would have it, a couple weeks afterward, I got AMAZING (extra) recommendations from an old English teacher and my journalism teacher from my Oxford summer program.

I've done a lot of work with journalism, but didn't send in any recommendations from journalism professors. This guy who wrote my recommendation is a BBC reporter and went to Oxford and Cambridge...

These aren't simply good recommendations...my counselor even said they truly are outstanding and would "stand out". Should I send them in, even though it's past the Nov. 15 deadline? My other recommendations were very strong as well, but I really don't know quite what to do. Would it look too desperate?

If I'm deferred, I'll definitely send them in, but right now would I loose anything by sending it in?

Would greatly appreciate input...send me a message if you want :)

I am almost positive that the admission has convened. Would the extra material reach the table in time for the reading? Probably not, what do you have to lose, nothing. Send them in.

Thanks so much for the input! I really appreciate it...

Anyone else have suggestions?

I agree, judging by your and your counselor's descriptions of them, you have nothing to lose. Send them!

Yoshi,

I don't know how you are 'positive' that they have already convened...if this were true, why would applicants still be getting interviewed?

that could be a reason to why interviews ultimately dont matter too much. Maybe they're used to overturn an acceptance or something ... like if the interviewer had really bad impressions ... just my guess
