I just found out that Yale does NOT require people who are taking the ACT to send in SAT Subject tests!!! UGHHHHHHH Less than a year ago, this woman at a Yale meeting said that Subject Tests were required for both SAT and ACT. She even mentioned they wouldnt be changing that rule! Can I cancel my score report from being sent??

bump? please?

they don't? are u sure? depends how badly u don't want them to see it...

Im guessing no. With the post office u cant ask for it back once its enroute. Your scores cant be THAT bad.

well.. they aren't good to yale's high standards. the problem is that i did rush delivery so they will probably have them either today or tomorrow.. so would it look bad on my part to beg them not to consider those scores? like im desperate?

if they say that they don't need the scores, then they wouldn't take them into consideration too much.

if u yale sucks why do u want to go there? lolz

i wouldnt worry about it, whats done is done right? i dont think begging them to not consider the scores will help u at all

Says who? Make sure your new source is as reliable as your original source.

"if they say that they don't need the scores, then they wouldn't take them into consideration too much."

I called three colleges - Pomona, Northwestern, & UChicago - because my SAT Subject scores were TERRIBLE. I sent in a decent ACT score. They said, since I sent it, they will still consider it. :{

It's true that if you send the ACT, you don't have to take Subject tests for Yale. It's on their website. Also, they accept Jan SAT scores if you want to retake them

Yale does not require SAT II's if you submit the ACT. You can find this info on their website
Applying to Yale College | Frequently Asked Questions | Office of Undergraduate Admissions

But, if I submitted both, will they ignore the SAT IIs and just consider the ACT?

Upenn is the same way. But i decided to send in my scores since engineering specifically recommends a math and science test. And my scores arent stellar either

Yale's current information has been up on the Yale website for months.

whatever i dont check that junk

don't check that junk> that is pricelss, someone applying to college, couldn't bother to check that junk

Did the policy change?

Ooooh.. the OP got told!!
