Yale Summer Session. Useful in admissions?

I’m a current community college student and I am totally in love with Yale (among other schools) so I’ve been really interested in their summer session, but given that it costs so much, I want to just weigh the pros/cons of this program vs. any other before I get way too excited about doing it. This brings me to my main question: How useful will this be when it comes to my university admissions? I know that it is not particularly useful in getting into Yale itself or any other Ivy, and that’s just fine by me because I am not exactly a shoo-in for those schools. Regardless, I am still intrigued by the idea of taking a course at the university and getting to spend some time there if I choose to do it. Is there any chance this would have the added bonus of looking good to more ‘average’ universities when it comes time to apply?

Like I said, I love the idea of doing this anyway but juuuust curious!
