Yale transfer and SAT score

Hi, I (kind of) know that when it comes to transferring to extremely prestigious schools, a great amount of chance comes into play, but at least, one needs to have somewhat decent scores, GPA, etc to expect for some chances, correct?

So, my question is that I have really low SAT score, 2170--I basically did not study for SAT at all when I was in the high school, but during last semesters, I took several 200-300 level English literature, social science, and argument classes, which concentrated on writing, and got all As in those classes. Plus, I attend UVa, giving some weights to those courses.

Do you think I need to take SAT again to boost up the score? Will the college look at my classes/grades and do not take my current SAT score--hopefully--seriously?

If you do not think this would work out, please just say that I should not apply for Yale transfer--cut off my hope, right away.

What year would you be going in?
Anyway, I think that you should retake the SATs and also focus on at least 2 SAT2. Don’t let anyone stop you from applying. Different schools look at diff things in applicants, so go ahead and apply. Good Luck!

I am transferring as a junior standing, which means I am currently a sophomore.

I already took 3 SAT2s, and all of them are 800.

Will my classes cover my SAT1 score?

I wouldn’t worry about SATs as a jr transfer, your college record will be much more important.

I know its been like six years but…did you get accepted? I was thinking of transferring to a college and wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not

@rhanif16 please dont bring up old threads, OP hasnt been online for six years
