Yale Transfer Chances

Hey All, I'm a current undergraduate student at USC and am thinking about taking a year off and transferring because i do not feel challenged at my current campus. I'm finishing my freshman year with a 3.9, am active in an on campus job, a competitive improv troupe, the campus radio station, and a few other clubs. I had a 4.3 weighted gpa in highschool, where I graduated top ten out of over four-hundred. I got perfect scores on both the SAT and ACT. I was deferred when I applied early action last fall, and then subsequently denied admission in the general round of decisions. Is there any chance at all I'd be able to get in as a transfer student? Thanks in advance for the help!

You posted the same thread in Harvard’s forum and the answer is quite google-able. Here, let me do it for you: http://admissions.yale.edu/transfer</a>

Hello. I never thought I would be doing this but here it goes.

I just received an admissions letter from Yale as a transfer student and I can tell you that this guy ^ knows what he’s talking about.

I moved around a bit during my life and I have a crazy story to tell. My grades were always great but never perfect. It’s all about getting that admissions dean to like you as a person. That’s the only way into Yale.

Good luck man!

Congrats @doctorgk! I also moved around quite a lot (including internationally) and was wondering if I could PM you with a question about applying? I’m interested in applying as a transfer. Thanks!
