Yale Transfer FALL 2009

Hey everyone!!Decision day is coming soon!! This is sooooooooooooo scary!!When I think about it, it’s like 5 ppl being accepted out of a 100 and tht makes me sad…how r u all feeling?esp with finals coming up!

This is really nerve racking. I wish everyone the best, including myself! LOL!!

i have one final tomorrow and 2 more the day after…

yes…good luck everyone!!
I have finals this week and the next!! Does anyone knw if decisions might be sent before the 15th? Also, has anyone heard anything yet except tht “the application is complete?”

18/800 applicants were admitted

2.2%. Nice.

how do you know this already? or are those the stats from last year?

Last Year’s Data: 24/751

Good luck to all transfer applicants!!!

transferaccepted, are those this year’s stats? how did you find out?

Someone on CC called admissions and asked. I believe his username was tiredof.

The suspense. Oh, the suspense.

If we call Yale and tell them that we have to commit to another school soon, would they let us know of their decision?

thanks transferaccepted. did someone also say decisions were being released on wednesday? that’s so soon!

Apparently someone called admissions and they told him that decisions were released on Wednesday.

Anyone hear anything yet?

no. i’m still wondering whether we will be notified online or by regular mail. i can’t remember how they did it last year…

Some have heard over on the Transfer Students forum:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/533858-official-yale-2009-transfers-30.html

I found this on the Yale Transfer Applicant FAQ:

Candidates will be notified of their admissions decision in mid May via both email and postal mail. Mailed letters will be sent to the address which you provide under Home Address on Form 1.

Any successful transfers for fall 2009??

I’m going through these threads and beginning to wonder how Yale selects the students they admit. I see people with 4.0’s, near perfect SAT scores, and really impressive EC’s, and they say they were rejected anyway. Wonder if my stats are even nearly impressive enough:
