I’m sure your daughter will get it all done in time! They always seem to manage it.

Anyone knows if Senior year score report for the 1st quarter is required? Thanks.

they will ask for mid year report . Our schools sends it around thanksgiving , allowing teachers to fill in the latest grade if it shows an improvement

I am surprised that this thread is so quiet. Any idea how many SCEA applicants this year at Yale? And did anyone have interviews yet?
My DD submitted her app on the 30th, but no interview/email/call yet.

From Yale’s website:

An interview is not a required part of the application process. Because of limited interviewing capacity, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions prioritizes interviews for students for whom the Admissions Committee needs more information. Students who do not receive an interview invitation will not be disadvantaged

Thanks! What does “need more information” indicate? Does that mean they like the student and need to know more about them or does that mean their application is incomplete? :man_shrugging:t4:

No, it doesn’t mean the application is incomplete. If an applicant doesn’t submit all required materials, they’re simply rejected.

This is for cases where they don’t have enough information from the application to make a decision one way or the other, so the interview allows them to uncover additional details.

We received a notice from the AO on 11/7 that the portal through which we evaluate candidates has now opened.

Thanks! Are you referring to the Admissions Portal where you track the application status, documentation checklist etc?

I am wondering when ASC will start contact SCEA applicants for an interview…

No, I am an interviewer, and I am referring to the interviewer portal. Interview assignments will made in the next few days/weeks.
