I guess in order to receive the automatic email about supplements questionnaire, the applicant has to choose “yes” when asked whether you will submit supplement in their CommonApp application. Hope this helps. The questionnaire email and application confirm email were sent out at the same time.

Just checking in again on the interview question. I have now seen a couple scattered references to Yale interviews elsewhere, but not the volume I would have expected if they were being scheduled broadly. So I am wondering again if anyone else has seen more, or of course has gotten an interview invite.

@NiceUnparticularMan I am very curious where they are in the evaluation process. My daughter submitted her app in early/mid october. I am curious if they begin the review as the apps come in or if they tend to wait until the deadline. Basically just curious if daughters file has been reviewed.

Kinda funny to think we are already 9 days into a 43-day process (if I did that math right).

I hope it is a 43 (give or take) day process. Nothing would be better that have all this wrapped up for the Holidays. Daughter just completed performance 1 of 3 or Mamia. Schedule will clear up and stress will go way down.

Yeah, being 9 of 43 days to a deferral would be a little less exciting.

I actually don’t know, but my assumption would be a combination of email and portal.

In the past all applicants log into their portal on decision day and 1 of 3 messages come up. You want to hear the Yale fight song when the page opens.

Hi everyone - my son just got an invite for an interview but it’s with a Yale senior. Have you heard of interviews being conducted by current students?

This is a number of years ago…but Yale used to offer on-campus interviews, and my son’s interview was with a Sr who worked in the admission office. I believe my other child had an interview with a student at another college, so yes, it does happen.

@BKSquared can provide more detail, but these interviews tend not to hold much weight.
