What a decision! Ultimately I do want to get into medical school and become a doctor/researcher. Northwestern gives me the guarantee into medical school but how much of an undergraduate experience would I miss from not attending Yale or Princeton? Also, and I know this is probably Yale-biased here, how does pre-med at Yale compare with pre-med at Princeton?

My son is also faced with a decision between HPME and Yale. Yale was once his "dream school" but he later also fell in love with HPME when he visited NU. He is going to attend Bulldog Day to re-evaluate Yale before he renders his final decision. Are you also planning on attending BDD?

my decision was down to NU and Yale. i visitted NU and knew Yale was gonna be a waaay better undergrad experience. the dorms at NU were terrible. also, i'm from Chicago so i needed to get away from there.

personally, if I were you, I'd go to Northwestern.
Med school admission is getting more competitive, and although you'll probably get into a med school even if you don't choose Yale/Princeton, there's no guarantee that you will get into a high-caliber med school like Northwestern's. Also, having minimal stress is great, IMO.
