That’s an opinion which most people are not going to agree with. Anyway, if the OP is interested in minors, then instead of denigrating them, maybe you should concede other colleges have more.

People don’t read individual courses on a resume for a job out of college, maybe if you’re applying before or during college. Interesting you bought up CS, a Stanford minor in CS on a resume will be more valued than other minor from the colleges on the OPs list.
As a Stanford advocate, I’m actually going to agree with the OP’s cons on Stanford because guess what, I want him or her to make the right decision for them, not choose a college because I’m associated with it (I’m not with Stanford btw). Those are valid reasons why someone wouldn’t choose Stanford.
