Had any of you sent in updates?
My son just sent in a short email about a week ago.
Hello everyone. I was in the middle of taking the AP European History exam when my admissions counselor called and left a message around 12:30 Central. By the time that the test was done and I could use my phone, I had to leave a message on her voicemail. In her voicemail, she basically just asked me to give her a call back at my convenience. I have not received any emails whatsoever. So what does this mean for me? By the way, I also sent her an email telling her about why I did not pick up. Also, I did not send any application updates whatsoever.

@buntman if you got a call from a Yale admissions officer then I think you got in. That is exactly what happened to me. My counselor called me and said I got an email from Yale asking if we could speak on the phone about my waitlist spot, and when I talked to her she said that I had been admitted. Congrats to everyone admitted, and if you weren’t keep your head up! There are plenty of great schools out there!
Did any of the newly admitted Yale people apply for financial aid?
I did! She said that my fa award would be available Monday when the portal updates!

My son applied for financial aid, and the aid he got elsewhere is quite good.
Will he still go to Yale even if the financial aid package is not as good?
Absolutely! I just told him today that money is not a factor he needs to consider.

Yale called up my daughter at 5pm PST Friday. She got admitted to Yale. CONGRATS to YALE Class of 2019.

She will give up Brown. Her number choice is always Yale.

It’s unknowable SadSquirrel – how many of these recently offered a spot will say NO? How many of those previously who accepted a spot on Mar 31 will come back and say NO? If it’s none of only a few, then follow on offers likely will not happen.
