<p>Just wanted to see who applied for Yale Young Global Scholars this year, and for what program? Did you send it for early decision or are you sending it for regular? Financial aid?</p>
<p>Most importantly, have you received anything talking about your acceptance? They said they will notify us by the 29th, but I still haven't received anything.</p>

<p>I was accepted into PLE, it was my first option. I’m sure it will be an incredible experience nonetheless, Merkel. I’ve seen in years past that those attending Ivy Scholars created Facebook pages so they could acquaint themselves with each other before arriving on campus. I think this would be a great idea if we could get something like that put together. Hopefully a few others who were accepted find their way to this thread!</p>

<p>Got accepted to GS. I’m not sure about going though because it’s alot of money to pay for my parents. I’m not super wealthy, but my income bracket is above what is necessary to receive financial aid, which i did apply for.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have no idea how I’m going to cough up $5k either… But, I talked to my HS counselor and she gave me a list of local organizations and advised me to and ask them for scholarships. You could try that too!</p>

macdonnell808: About the essay, just be yourself, be sincere and be honest.
I did mention something about my past experience in MUN and student union, but most importantly, show them your thoughts and reasons why you really like this program (e.g. your interest in politics, international affairs, etc.)</p>
