Great essays, hopefully great letters of recommendations from my English teacher and my science teacher. A great statement of need. I’ve applied with financial need to FST, SDSE and ASE.
Please tell me my chances, anyone who’s previously attended or is planning to attend the following year.
Thanks a lot.
Yes
I am applying from India. Also applied for financial aid. When will results be declared?
As mentioned above, results should be in by the end of March or Early April.
Hi! I’m a brazilian IB student. Is Anyone from South America applying this year?
@Carolina56 I’m actually applying for North America. But it’s really nice to meet you and I hope you get in
Where in India are you from?
Financial Aid usually depends on your demonstrated need. YYGS however offers no Merit Based scholarships. So it’ll depend on your family’s income bracket.
Does anyone have any idea what date will the results be mailed? The wait is killing me.
Yeah, when I got in last year, the results came out in the first week of April I think. To those of you who get in, it’s going to be a blast! From the moment I flew out of Dehli with another student to meeting all the interesting professors and other students from around the world, it was absolutely amazing. The opportunity cost is very high, so use it wisely.
Hey! Do you mind sharing your stats and Extra Curricular activities that you did list on your application?
Ok, I just came across this Forum a few minutes ago and I honestly had no idea that YYGS was so competitive. Like I knew it was competitive because it’s Yale, but the people applying to it seem ridiculously accomplished and this is just a three-week summer program!! I applied for every program in block two (I was genuinely interested in all of them but I liked the politics and literature one the most). Does anyone know which programs are the most competitive (does it even work that way?).
Hi , I have also applied for YYGS… from Gurgaon ( Delhi NCR) pl connect at ayush1000gupta@gmail.com

From what I have heard, not everyone is super accomplished. Plus, YYGS considers that people around the world have very varied opportunities available to them in terms of Extra Curricular’s. If your essays stand out and provide a true picture of yourself, you’ll be good to go.

I applied last year and got rejected, and I feel like I’ll get rejected again this year
