Hi,

For the major architecture, is there any statistics for admission and is there any special requirement like art portfolio?

Yale's architecture major doesn't admit students, Yale College admits students so look for those admit rates (8.3% this last year). Sophomores can petition to become architecture majors.

Thanks for the reply. I asked wrongly, yes I mean Yale College , but is it possible to indicate that architecture major at the application to college. Is there any requirement specific for this branch . I mean , do we have to take subject tests , the same as engineering like math and physics or for example math and literature. Is the application requirements are the same for all majors or not?

A regional rep at a presentation said that major indication for the applicant has no weight to admit/rejection. It only serves as a curiosity point since most Yalies switch majors anyways. Your indicating Arch as a major won't affect your evaluation. As for subject tests, the page I linked has the information you need. Once enrolled, you take intro classes in the Arch dept. If you perform well enough, you apply as a Sophomore to be admitted to the degree program as a Junior. Arch is one of the more rigorous majors -- there's a 50 max each year.

so will stating undecided affect your evalutation

^^sorry, that's a question!

No it will NOT affect your evaluation

idk why it switched my two earlier comments...
