If you were accepted, describe every SECOND from typing in your login info to finding out your decision. Was there a barking dog? Did they play music at you? What did the letter say? (Is the window still open?) What did you do? Jump up and down? Scream? Cry?

Since we can't all be accepted, at least let the rest of us be accepted vicariously!

Well, after checking several times, at 5 PM, the page with the link "Get your Early Action decision online" finally came up. I gasped, and my mom came running in. I clicked on it, and she started prepping me for the worst: "OK, if you don't get in now, it's for a reason. You'll be fine..." etc. I asked her if I could do it alone, so she started to walk away, and I clicked "Login," expecting a blunt letter of deferral/rejection. Then, a blue screen filled my computer. A bulldog appeared on it, and my mom caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of her eye, turned around, and started screaming. The screen read, "Welcome to Yale College Class of 2009," and my mom was screaming so loud I couldn't hear the song in the background ("Bulldogs, Bulldogs, bow wow wow..."). After a second, I was forwarded to my letter of acceptance. I didn't even read it at first...I had already started dialing my dad's phone number to let him know that he might want to work overtime, because pretty soon, he'd be paying for me to attend Yale...:)
