From what I garnered, they seem to accept people in random waves. Every passing day makes me a bit more paranoid...

hahaha
ME TOOOOOOOO aggghh

Same here. Two of my friends already got accepted yesterday...

I mean, I know they're understaffed and all that, but the anticipation is killing me (lol, cliche). Sigh

Explodes

Yeah, I've tried to abstain from complaining too much. If they are understaffed, I'm sure they're feeling a lot of pressure from the Univ. and prospective students to finish NOW. I kinda feel bad for them. It's too bad they didn't hire more people to do this.

ahh
i finally heard today!
hang in there!
you should just check instead of waiting for the email..
because i didn't even get an email yet.

I heard they don't send emails, so yeah, check the site.

their emails are slower than the decision site. I think the decisions come first and then an email at around 3-4AM

Good to know they're still working...

Yeah I got in today too, there's still hope!

Congratulations to those of you who got in today!

I checked but ...still no update. ugh

Just to give you guys some hope:

My acceptance from UC Irvine came in March 30 of last year, the very last day it was supposed to send out decisions.

^Thanks for that info. I thought that getting it later would increase the chance of getting rejected.

Birdkiller, what were your stats?

my daughter got accepted today! My experience suggests that the admission counselors are hardworking, deligent and take their responsibility very seriously. a cycle of email exchange on my concerns with them took an average of 8 days but it is obviously that they DO look carefully for merit in the application unlike some other UCs' eval system which are driven by numbers only.

I feel your pain in waiting but the wait is in your best interest.

It makes me worried for my friends. 2/5 that applied haven't heard yet. Hopefully they'll find out by early next week. Congrats to all you guys.

GPA: 3.7 - 3.8 (unweighted) 4.00 (weighted)
SAT: 1880
California Resident
Major: Mathematics (School of Physical Sciences)

I'm not sure what I wrote or what I put in my awards.

Yeah, UC Irvine last year did the same thing to us applicants, it at least told us nothing would change after 5 P.M. PST weekdays I believe, so there was no point of staying up all night.

I think I read somewhere that all Irvine decisions for the day are posted by 9 am - none will be updated after that.

I got an email in my inbox today, so I think they do send out email notifications. It's probably not worth it to check the site every day until they send you an email :P
