"With your admission to Caltech, your thoughts may turn to attending college. Please note, however, that your admission is contingent on the continuation of your strong academic and personal record."

How serious are they about "continuation of your strong academic and personal record"? I know I sound paranoid, but that is how I am. heh. =D

it's Caltech - they are very, very, very, very serious about grades :P no exaggeration lol

Very serious. You need to make sure that you keep up your grades and DONT slack off!

That struck me too... I guess it's just the whole "don't start getting F's now or else we might get upset at you".

because it's Caltech, I honestly would stay away from even C's

Other school's acceptance letters same basically the same thing, just using different words. All acceptances to top schools are contingent upon keeping up the same academic record.

Just make sure you keep being the same student they thought they accepted.

You can slack off a little - but not too much. Another thing - my son took 4 AP classes his senior year. Since Caltech doesnt give credit for APs, he didnt take the exams. That took a lot of stress off his final year. Even if you school makes you take it, you dont have to study hard, because Caltech wont ask for the report.
