--------HOYA SAXA!---------

ha!! i found! a new international student.

i read your other posts. a few comments.
georgetown has a very close international student community. i'm friends with many middle easterns. i'll be an ambassador for IGEPO (similar to IPO, but for upper classman exchange and grad students), so ill probably see u in august. :)

byee

Most of the dorms are co-ed by wing or cluster, which means that there are guys and girls on the same floor. There are some single -sex floors that you can choose to live on, too.
I really want to live in New South, too bad we don't get a choice. Although, it is the biggest dorm I think, so you probably have a better chance of getting it than the others.

i heard you can write on your housing questionaire which dorm youd prefer to live in, is that true?

no... we used CHARMS, and so do u, so you get to pick your rommate, but you can only chose where you live if you chose a special-interest living, and I don't know why you guys are so into NS, Harbin is the place to be, teh rroms are so much bigger, bigger desk, bigger closet, bigger windows, you name it, Harbin is awesome!

juliadearaujo where are u from??
I added u to my MSN (sry i dnt use aim) :) hope to meet u on the hilltop ;)

Since we don't really have a choice where we live, I'm not spending much time thinking about it. I think I'll be able to deal with whatever I get, as long as it allows me to accomplish what I need to, like sleeping, I'll be cool. I have heard that most people like Harbin the best, but no use in hoping for a certain one since it's random. I can't wait to pick classes, that's what I'm looking forward to a lot right now.

I really hope I get Harbin or New South. But as you said, there's really nothing I can do, so I'll go dwell on something more productive, like how terrible my essays were today for the AP english lit exam! :p

Don't fret over the Lit exam. All we need to get to satisfy the english requirement is a 4, right? Totally managable. I think I'm actually going to make out pretty well with my AP credits, but maybe I misunderstood the bulletin.

Yeah, I took real college classes this year, and can't get any credit for them because they count towards high school too. Too bad Georgetown made it sound like they would take them, and then were like "Nope, but you can take the AP exams", 2 months too late to sign up for them.

heyyy

im brazilian. from the interior of sao paulo. :)
currently 'permanent' residence in wisconsin though; it has been for the past 3 years. :S (nothing personal, wisconsonites). school in GU, summer in brasil, and holidays in wisc. it makes me dizzy. haha :P

going to brasil ( 10 GU friends!) in 8 days... countdown!

im sleep deprived... too much work... i hate finals...
u, incoming freshman... gotta prepare urself for that. tonight the entire school was at the library. but dont go there to study!!!! library here was made to socialize. we even got free smores outside. :)

lol thats cool...I wanna be there soo bad! Hope to meet you then. :)

Yeah, but COL students can't waive their entire requirement through AP Eng (either one). Sucks.

SFS, however, can. :).. According to the guide, at least.

Neither can SFS, even w/2 5s you'll need an other english to satisfy the requirement.

is that a recent development? in their bulletin it says "SFS and NHS students with a score of 5 receive 6 credits, which completes their general education requirement in literature." this applies to "English (either test)". did they change it for class of 2009?

oh... my bad, ur right a 5 will get you out of both, a 4 only one, sorry, I apologize.
