as u guys can see my sats arent as strong compared to my gpa/class rank... so i am a classic example that these people do not just look sats (as what i previously thought), but rather the whole app.

i applied beginning of november and they confirmed that they had everything on November 16th. From then was A LOT of anxious waiting. I had heared a lot of my friends were accepted and they applied around the same time. I thought maybe the wait meant i didnt get in, but thankfully not.

Some schools require you to send in FAFSA even if you don't qualify for need-aid, but if you want to be considered for merit. Is Michigan then not requiring FAFSA?

Not for Merit Aid. My sons both received their merit aid offer a couple of weeks after their acceptance. One in October, one in November. Long before FAFSA is due.

I was look at Umich's site, and they say the following about average GPA:

Middle 50th percentile of the class
High School GPA of 3.6-3.9 (academic courses only; un-weighted) 10th & 11 grades

Does that mean that the high school GPA noted there only includes 10th and 11th grades. Oh ya, are religion and philosophy consider to be academic classess?
