Yay got offered an interview for RA position..

but I'm having second thoughts about becoming one.. oh well I will at least accept the interview for good interview practice!

anyone else applied? or previous RAs want to share their experience as an RA?

I've met/heard of generally three types of RAs:

Serious RAs. They tend to really stick to the rules and try to keep the peace. Fairly unpopular around the building. Pretty rare.

Social RAs. They are somewhat lax about rules and try to be friendly and head fun activities.

RAs who are they just for the free housing. They generally don't enforce rules and you don't see them around a lot.

I suppose you could think about why you would want to become an RA and trying to imagine being one. I hear the training is pretty tough, though.

i wish there were more number 3's...that'd be soooo cool

I wish I were the third type of RA.

what type are you?

To whom are you asking that question?

I'm not an RA, I just wish I had free Room and Board in Foothill.

dood c'mon, people party at foothill all the time and get away with it, RA's aren't ever around cuase they think there's only nerdy engineering students who don't do anything. top floors/suites is where it's at.

I got an interview offer too! Looking forward to becoming an RA :)

How did everyone's interviews go?

foothill is notorious for nerds and druggies. when i was there, there were several drug themed parties there...

by drugs you mean....? cause i mean...pot's everywhere in berkeley....but alotta people don't consider it a drug.

i mean hardcore stuff... well i was never there, just rumors.

oh no, i haven't seen anything more than mild halucinogens and pot. Definitely not anything really harmful.

has anyone received a notification?

28th is the notification date.
