yay! i got into st.pauls!

anyone else get accepted here?

I was waitlisted!!! :D Which is so better then rejected!!!!!!!! :D

Congratulations!!!

See, I knew SSAT scores didn't mean much. Mine were much similar to yours and I applied to Andover. The rest of my application was decent, in my opinion. You just gave me a spark of hope, though!!

Is it true that it's almost impossible to get FA if you're accepted off the wait list?

yea i only got like a 69 on my ssat and i have no legacies or anything

No. I know it is possible, because they save fa for students on the waiting list. My friend got waitlisted to Andover last year. Eventually she got off the waiting list, but was on a F.A. waiting list! Not quite always a win-win situation!

Ok, thanks. That gives me some hope.

Tennisgirl - My daughter is in as well. Like you, less than stellar SSAT scores and no legacies.

What grade for you?

I should've applied to St. Paul's.

Congratulations!

i applied to st. pauls--i get straight As, 99 percentile on all sections of ssat, and i am a truly well-rounded (and very busy) person with a LOT of extra-curricular activities--and i got waitlisted!
so you guys who got in--wow--you must have had amazing applications or something, because to tell you the truth i (and everyone else i know) thought i was going to get in everywhere (choate, which I did, SPS, and Deerfield.)
Well--congrats to y'all who made it in!

im going into 10th i dont know if im going there yet though

Is St. Paul's the only school you applied to?

yes it is lol

jonathon you should have applied

I know.

I'm not sure if there is an SSAT score cutoff, though. I only got a 40. (50 V, 50 R, 31 M) I have good grades (straight A's, B in Algebra) and great EC's. My recommendations were great for Andover Summer Session. (I read through the envelope, lol)

If I end up going to Andover for the summer, then I could go to an information meeting for kids wanting to apply for the academic year, so that would be pretty cool.

try next year jonathon. Work on getting scores up, work on ECs too.
