Another idiot ranked in the top 10% from my school gets accepted into UT.

Everyone cheats their asses off its so ridiculous.

So far 4 people at my HS got in (top 10% = 13 people)

The valedictorian is a pretty smart chick, she deserves UT.

The other 3 aren't very bright at all. I don't think any of them have over a 1000 M+CR on the SAT, the rank basically gets them in. One of the chicks, shes ranked like 6th or so, thought Washington D.C was in the state of washington!

I can only imagine the rampant cheating going on in one of those big 5a schools with like 600 people in the senior class..

I only cheated enough to get close to the top ten percent.. the people in the top ten percent had to work that much harder.. Yahh for loose morals

Well at my school if you cheat you get kicked out. Cheating = stealing, which is an automatic expulsion. Oddly enough, you get 3 strikes for drugs or alcohol, and the school provides free counseling for you if you have a problem with drugs or alcohol.

We actually have a lot of kids from outside the top 10% get in.

3 in our class is applying, but I doubt he'll end up going. I'm number 9, and I got accepted to Plan II Early Consideration and I'm without a doubt going. I'd estimate that of our 250, around 15 will go to UT, with about half in the top 10 and half outside the top 10.

if they're used to getting by with cheating, if they're in a real major at UT they'll fail out

You obviously do not know the inner workings of cheating. A lot of times you have a chance to cheat, but you can't always do it, so you prepare for a test normally, but just do better when you cheat. EE Major for the win.
