so are you guys going to get your teacher gifts?
got any gift ideas?
how much are you spending?
how many teachers are you going for?

No.

Best gifts are from the heart.

I would write my teacher a note and give a box of chocolates (very common)

Or I might make some origami :O

albert, don't hate me for being machiavellious. i'm just trying to get an edge like everyone else...

The good teachers which have experience are usually the blunt ones that see past all the sucking up, so I don't see them buying into the semi-bribes. I might buy a present for my couselor however...

Well I'll tell you a quick story.
When I went to TX for the first time last December, we explored Texas and went to the Alamo and all that good stuff.
And at the time, I had a B for my semester, and I really wanted an A for the year in AP US History.
So... my dad offered to get a small gift from the Alamo gift shop for the teacher. And I got her a beautiful sparkly Alamo calendar and an Alamo cup with her name on it (Peggy).
As she graded papers, I think the cup was their in front of her for the rest of the year.
And I swear I got better grades after that, even though sometimes I felt maybe I didn't deserve THAT high of a grade..
So point of the story, I think it had something to do with the cup I gave her, and it turned out I got an A for the year.
Maybe you should get a gift that has something to do with her class (i.e. history teacher/Alamo)
