Does yellow ribbon help or hurt or no difference for the admissions process? Will a school look favorably on that if you indicate you plan to use yellow ribbon transferred benefits to our daughter? We are new to this and our daughter will be taking advantage of yellow ribbon for sure.
I doubt it makes any difference in admissions, but realize that the participation level is different at different schools. Some schools will limit the number of people in the program so there may be a wait list. At the same time you can only get on the wait list if your using the GI Bill, so in effect, no yellow ribbon program while on the wait list. Some schools cap the amount the schools will contribute leaving the student responsible for the rest. Some schools have no caps on either amount or number of people allowed in the program at one time.
