Yep, I'm transferring from art school. HELP PLES

I’m a freshman at a respectable art school, but I want to pursue a psych/neuroscience degree at a normal college. Methinks that the colleges will look more closely at my high school transcripts and SAT than anything else. Could you chance me, please? Or give some advice?

SAT 1300, high school gpa 3.6, art sch gpa 4.0 (not that it matters tho). Applying to Syracuse, William&Mary (reach), Wake Forest, Brandeis, Chapman, Bryn Mawr.

The obvious questions are: What can your afford? What state are you from?

My D just transferred from a conservatory to academics, you can PM me if you would like.

Can afford any, but preferably with a little fin assistance. I’m international, but have been here for a long time.

Any advice, like if I selected the right schools? Overestimated myself? Also, if someone could read my essay and give a critique on it - that would be super helpful.

my daughter also wanting to transfer out of art school! I think Chapman a good chance. Bryn Mawr a reach. Have you thought about Carnegie Mellon? UT Austin? A friends daughter went through the neuroscience program there and really liked it.

Thank you for your comment! I was thinking about Carnegie Mellon, but UT Austin is too far south - just not convenient.

Are you considered instate anywhere?

nope, I’m international. not sure if it’s good or bad tho

Good if you’re full pay, bad if you need any scholarship.
