The stats are below average and I don’t see anything special that would put you above other applicants.

False statement

You have somewhat of a chance considering your extracurriculars and your in the top 10% of your class. Also you are taking challenging courses.
Its worth a shot, and just in case you dont get accepted you can apply to SAS or SEBS and then transfer to engineering after your first year into the school of engineering

@WannabeDoc
Why say false statement? it’s an absolute fact that your stats are below the Rutgers Engineering averages.

Considering, MY essay and other EC’s I didn’t add.
I know people with stats like mine and even less who got into Rutgers…
But, opinions are opinions, I respect what you have to say, you’re right, and I need to take it with a grain of salt , because this is CC.
Thanks, Eagersenior, for your put in.

Chance me threads are a complete waste of time.

Then why post this thread if you’re gonna take everything with a grain of salt?

For the record, I agree with ArchLiving.

WannaBeDocc, do you know people that got into Rutgers ENGINEERING specifically with lower stats than you? If so, do you know what their stats were when they got admitted?

Wannabedocc, are you the first to go to college? If yes , that will increase your chances and being a minority will also help you. I know somebody who got into the engineering program with a slightly higher SAT score and he was a minority as well and first generation to go to college. Good luck!

With that math score, I don’t know if you should even get into engineering. If you do, you will suffer. Just being realistic. I suggest prepping hard in mathematics.

ECs, essays, and volunteer work DO NOT MATTER for acceptances or rejections. They only count for scholarships! So with that said, your stats are below average, but you still have a small chance
