Yes, another chances

What are my chances at...

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Wisconsin-Madison

3.76 weighted, school doesnt rank

3.4ish/3.5ish unweighted core academics only

SAT- 700 math 560-cr (ugh yea i know...) (writing score was a 550 but i didnt think schools were looking at that, essay 10)

Have taken a decent amount of honors/APs

good recs/essays/ecs

Also if you dont think my chances are good there what are some other schools that match my stats and have a good business school. I live in ohio btw, but not interested in any ohio schools.

Thanx in advance

BUMP please

Out of state + Low GPA + SAT = big reach for Michigan and reach for Wisconsin.

All things being equal:

Wisconsin- match (you are literally their median, 3.7ish, high 1200s)
Michigan- match/slight reach...

BUT... since it is almost 2006, out of state, both are reaches.

yeah, forgot about that, michigan and wisconsin are rolling until the end of January (at least for Michigan); you should have applied earlier.

I'd still apply. Worth a shot. Just have back ups

i have applied, Wisconsin should have received everything by december 4th, does that help me at all??

bump

3.48 unweighted gpa

1260 sat

Wisconsin should have received everything 12/4

what are my chances at Wisconsin? accepted, deferred, rejected?

btw i got my deferral from U of M, prolly b/c i have 3.25 Michigan gpa

Well, that's unfortunate; why not apply to Ohio State (it's probably cheaper, anyway.) Either way, you have a good shot at UWI (maybe even UM), but you need a safety just in case.

UWI?? I applied to UW-Madison

and sry i cant go to osu its against everything i belive in.... dad is Michigan allum

Sorry, guess I don't know my abbreviations. By UWI, I meant University of Wisconsin, but I guess that's not a commonly used abbreviation.

ooo its all good

Michigan and Wisconsin = Awesome schools

Go for it, you're math score is great. But, expect a deferral.

what about penn state? could i consider penn state a low match? The only thing about PSU is that i have not applied and i know its rolling admissions so my chances are already hurt.
