I did BOTH topics 1 and 4 in one essay for UChicago, but I have no idea which radio button to click. (Should I say I did both in the header for my essay?)

On top of that, can anyone proofread it before Baker Island time?

Do the "what do picture want" option

From the quirky phrases and whatnot of topic 4, I'm guessing they'll see that you did both

Good job, I'm still working on that modest proposal haha

Oh and I dont think I can read it before whatever time cause I have to do my own, but I'd love to read it later cause it sounds interesting :)

Hahaha, I just realised that one of the lines near at the end had a double-meaning I didn't even notice originally. I love the power of the subconscious. I just wrote this today too!

"And yes, what does it want? Why are we all here?” [An audience member is questioning what the lecturer actually brought them in for, but "Why are we all here?" is such a sweet line."]

For those reading it, can anyone tell me how to make best use of this? If I made the double meaning more apparent (like repeating the line later on), would it be worse or better?

(I actually did 3 of the required items in one paragraph ... I could have even additionally included pointillism, the paper airplane and the invisible hand and tie them easily to my topic, but that would have required writing additional dialogue.)

Re-reading again after the fury of my draft-writing, I realised that it gets really philosophical near the middle-end. It's like half a page of abstract discussion that contrasts with the light-hearted approach of the rest of the essay. For those reading it, can anyone tell me if this is a strength or weakness of an essay? (I realise that just like a serious treatment needs "comic relief," a comedy needs "serious relief.")

If you send it or them really fast I might look over them (I'm not home and I'm not sure when I'm leaving).
I can't say if it's a good thing or a bad one, b/c it depends on the context.

Is it sad that I considered applying to the University of Chicago just so I could write their essays?

Because I seriously almost did, just for that.
